“At pick 78, Astra selects Tony Pollard: a healthy lead back to strengthen our running-back depth.”

MemoPrivate from other managers · public to you

I selected Tony Pollard as RB3. Six running backs disappeared between our picks, including every player on my original short list. Waiting for depth had a real cost, but I do not want to compound it by buying an injured player solely because his ADP looks attractive.

Pollard offers a current lead role without a reported injury. September 3 reporting places him ahead of Tyjae Spears, with rookie Nicholas Singleton also on the roster. His 2025 database line—228 carries, 1,034 rushing yards and 30 receptions in 16 games—supports usable depth. The limitation is equally clear: only two games exceeded 15 PPR points. This is a modest-ceiling selection, not a claim that Tennessee will become a strong offense. A more run-heavy approach under Brian Daboll remains an analyst inference, not a promised workload.

Dobbins had an essentially identical projection, but very little receiving production, additional backfield competition, durability concerns and the same bye as Swift. Hubbard was the closest alternative: the Panthers confirm he is participating in team drills, while Brooks remains on the side field. Nevertheless, the intended timeshare and Hubbard's recent hamstring issue leave more uncertainty. Henderson is reportedly out for Week 1, with no firm return date, and was not the clear starter even before the injury.

Lloyd is the most interesting upside alternative. Jacobs is on the commissioner's exempt list—not merely sidelined by the groin designation in the packet—and multiple reports expect Lloyd to lead Green Bay. But he has almost no NFL production, a substantial injury history and an uncertain share and duration of opportunity. I preferred Pollard's more established role here and will reconsider that upside at our next pick. Quarterback remains deep enough to wait; another receiver or backup tight end would not address our most pressing roster weakness.

Considering research priorities

I need to select the RB3 for my research pool, preferably one with 10-minute tokens and around 25k. It's essential to be efficient with many news sources since most priorities have faded. I find it interesting that Josh Jacobs has a possibly serious groin injury, making him a key player to monitor. I should also look into Lloyd, Pollard/Dobbins, Hubbard/Brooks, and Henderson's latest stats. I can conduct five searches in parallel to gather this information.

✓search_news“Panthers Jonathon Brooks Chuba Hubbard hamstring September 2026 Week 1 running backs”
✓search_news“Packers Josh Jacobs MarShawn Lloyd groin depth chart starting running back September 2026 Week 1”
✓search_news“Titans Tony Pollard Tyjae Spears backfield role September 2026 Week 1”
✓search_news“Broncos J.K. Dobbins RJ Harvey workload starter September 2026 Week 1”

Evaluating player options

I’m looking at our lineup, which includes eight slots: RB3, RB4, RB5, WR5, QB, K, DEF, and one flex option for WR or QB2. I think Hubbard would fit well, especially with Dowdle missing. Then there's Lloyd, who has no recent NFL experience due to health issues but shows some potential. I might consider Pollard now if he's still available, but I need to assess articles fully for a clearer picture moving forward.

## Available players (top by projection; there are more, query_stats can find them)

Columns: wk_proj is projected fantasy points this week, last_wk and avg are what the player actually scored last week and per week so far this season, seas_proj the season projection, adp the average draft position (lower means drafted earlier; it is not a projection). FA marks a free agent: add_drop signs one immediately, at any turn, for nothing. waivers marks a player who can only be claimed with a FAAB bid at the next waiver run. Status column: Out, Doubtful, IR, PUP and suspensions are hard statuses. "flag" is Sleeper's questionable tag with the body part when known: a soft signal, often a minor camp issue, and there is no official NFL injury report until the practice reports of game week. "QB2 on depth chart" and the like is the team's listed depth order (1 starts). "report:" is the official NFL injury report, filed by the team: the game designation (Out, Doubtful, Questionable, or none) and the latest practice participation (DNP, limited, full).

Evaluating draft strategy

I’m reflecting on my recent picks and overall draft choices. It seems like I used 24 tools, which is probably around 5 minutes of elapsed simulation time. I want to choose the best options available. I've got Pollard on my mind due to his dependable role. I’m weighing the potential of Lloyd and others like Hubbard. I want to create a strong RB combination and choose wisely as we head into the later rounds.Assessing draft choices

I'm analyzing my options, focusing on the ADP gaps and the potential of players like Lloyd at 80 or Pollard at 78. It's just a small opportunity cost, but Pollard feels like a safer pick right now. I’m also considering Henderson’s talent since he had a good rookie year. But Stevenson is a clear starter too. I want to prioritize reliability and avoid the burden of an injury-prone roster. Pairing Pollard with Lloyd could balance my RB strategy effectively!Evaluating running back choices

I'm looking at Hubbard, who’s 27, compared to Pollard at 29. There's not a huge age difference, and while Hubbard’s flag is healed, he might share targets more than Pollard. If Pollard stays healthy, he could provide a solid fallback in the next weeks. Since I already have strong WRs, adding depth seems worthwhile. I think I’ll focus on prioritizing running backs with a healthy lead workload rather than just chasing ADP.Evaluating draft strategy

I’m considering a research strategy for drafting Pollard, particularly focusing on weight uncertainty regarding Lloyd vs. Pollard. I need to update my notes while preserving core data. With 11k tokens left, I want to finish efficiently. I've researched Pollard's passing history and strong offensive outlook but also need to consider Lloyd, especially since his ADP seems undervalued. It’s important to treat injury history objectively while drafting, so I'm concluding that Pollard seems like a solid choice.

Which running back will be the best option in Week 1? ## RB MarShawn Lloyd, Green Bay Packers Lloyd feels like the obvious answer here. He's the most explosive of the three backs. Injuries have been a major concern, limiting him to just one game and six carries in his two-year career. However, we are only worried about one week right now, and he's healthy heading into their Week 1 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. There is no way we would bench a fully healthy player because we are worried that he might get hurt in a game. With that said, we don't know that he's actually any good. As we said, he's only carried the ball six times, and on those six carries he averaged just 2.5 yards per carry. It is in the range of outcomes that he's just not a very good NFL running back or that injuries have taken a toll on him. He also showed nothing to be excited about this preseason. This might not be as cut-and-dry as fantasy owners would prefer. ## RB Kaleb Johnson, Green Bay Packers Johnson is entering just his second season after a disastrous stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers, which saw two different coaching staffs say no thank you to the former third-round pick. He saw just 28 carries as a rookie, which he took for 69 scoreless yards. We have zero reason to believe that he is an NFL-caliber running back. The only thing he has going for him is that the Packers' scheme is expected to be similar to the system he had success in with the Iowa Hawkeyes. For us, that's not nearly enough for us to suggest you start him in Week 1. As a matter of fact, we would rather start Brooks over Johnson if we were forced to pick between the two options. Not only has Johnson not shown even a flash of being good, but he also just joined the team less than two weeks ago. Do not start him in Week 1. Lloyd is the back to roll to with in Green Bay. Monday Brew: Getting a bonus day in before long season # Monday Brew: Getting a bonus day in before long season Sep 07, 2026 at 02:15 PM by Darin Gantt & Kassidy Hill CHARLOTTE — It wasn't a long practice, but after a long weekend, it was what the Panthers needed. Dave Canales put his team through a quick hour of work on their bonus Monday, as they transitioned out of a six-week preseason mode to prepare for this weekend's opener against the Bears. "What a difference a couple of days can make," Canales said Monday afternoon. "A fantastic opportunity to reconnect with family and friends. "Got to talk to some of the guys and they feel great, as a collective group. They looked fast today, had a little bounce. "That extra week, the few extra practices we were able to have last week, really valuable work for us, to continue to just work yourself into game shape, get the reps on the things we needed. But it was definitely a long camp, and these last couple of days were really crucial, and I could tell by the energy of the guys and the speed of the practice." As it's a game week, Canales was short on specifics when asked about injuries or related absences. Outside linebacker Patrick Jones II wasn't on the practice field during the portion open to the media, and running back Jonathon Brooks continued to work on the side field. "I'll give you guys all the updates on Wednesday," Canales said of the injuries. And when asked again about Brooks after saying last week he was optimistic he'd play, Canales replied: "I hope so. We have to just keep taking it one day at a time. He ran out there today, and then we'll evaluate what that looked like; we'll see that and compare it to what he looked like before, and we'll go from there." Starting running back and team captain Chuba Hubbard continued to work in team drills, and Canales has said all offseason he wants to get to the place where they can take advantage of their complementary strengths. "The film that I remember is a guy who just makes plays in space down the field in the pass game, the screen game, the home run speed," Canales said of Brooks. "And his ability to, once he sets an angle, all of a sudden you see people start turning and realize he's moving a lot faster than you think he is because he's such a smooth long strider you don't realize that. So, it's a factor; it's a pretty special dynamic in that regard. "And then from a personal note, just the character of the guy, the way he works, the way he's a great teammate, he's always connecting with people, across the stretch line and talking to guys before the practices, before games, he has a real positive leadership about him, and I love that too." Sarah Boeke/Carolina Panthers ## Monroe Freeling learning as he goes There are a lot of new things happening this week, and first-round pick Monroe Freeling is about to make his first start at right tackle against the Bears. Freeling has had a good summer but a long day in the joint practice against the Texans, and Canales said that he's had to remind him during and after that was just one day. "I talked to him the whole time, coming off the field, going into it," Canales said. "The good part about Monroe: really confident guy, and he really enjoys playing ball. I don't want to say happy-go-lucky because that wouldn't be accurate in describing him, but he does have a self-deprecating nature to him. He's acknowledging it, and I just told him, hey, if that's not the best tandem, I don't know what it is. This is what we need to take our steps and continue to improve stuff. But he's excited about this week, and he's had a couple of nice days of practice. I would expect him to have moments, but I would expect the work to just continue to improve, and that's pretty common. "And for me, my message to our rookies is: you gotta hold two things, especially your rookie year. It gets really long. You've got to hold a lot of grace for the lessons you don't know yet that you're going to learn, and they'll be humbling at times. And you've got to have a lot of urgency, and those things will balance you out if I can say, OK, I can learn from this moment, and then I can say, now let me get back to work, because that balance is what sustains them through a 17-game season. It's just really important to me that the guys understand that my expectation is that you just get better the next day and then just get better the next day. We can't be way down the road with where we're at, and then you can just take a deep breath and then get back to work." Cassie Baker/Carolina Panthers ## Lloyd grateful for captaincy Devin Lloyd didn't arrive in Charlotte to sign with the Panthers until March of this year. He spent 2025 in Jacksonville, where he was a huge part of the Jaguars' defense. These are all verifiable facts. But in Lloyd's mind, being a member of the Panthers now means taking on all that came before him. For example, when asked about preseason expectations of this team based on the 2025 result, he included himself in a narrative that he didn't actively play a part in. "I mean the biggest thing is just us being consistent, being the same high level team every week, even though we won the division last year, finished 8-9, and it wasn't in our hands at the end of the year," said Lloyd, his continuous use of the word "we" standing out. "So we want to be more consistent, not have one win and then one loss, one win, one loss. We want to stack great weeks, and that's really been the theme this year." It's that kind of ownership and intense commitment to this program that led the Panthers' players to elect Lloyd as one of five team captains last week. Bryce Young and JJ Jansen were elected captain for their fourth stints each, while Derrick Brown got the nod for a third year. Chuba Hubbard was elected a captain for the first time in his career, but he's always been a leader in that locker room, so it was a matter of formality more than anything. Zach

What it read · jsonline.com · Here's the Packers running back depth chart with Josh Jacobs out
Here's the Packers running back depth chart with Josh Jacobs out # What is Packers' running back depth chart after Kaleb Johnson trade? Christopher Kuhagen Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Updated Sept. 2, 2026, 5:53 p.m. CT Over the last two seasons, the Green Bay Packers' running back situation was as consistent as they come. Josh Jacobs and Emanuel Wilson formed a solid one-two punch in the backfield for an offense that stresses balance. Jacobs could be counted on for a heavy workload, with about 1,000 yards per season and over a dozen touchdowns. Wilson could be counted on for 100-plus carries and around 500 yards. But come 2026, the position is full of unknowns. Jacobs is out amid legal issues, charged with two misdemeanors in Brown County after prosecutors allege he threw a woman to the ground and destroyed her phone. After three years, Wilson left in the offseason as a free agent to join the reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. Who are the Packers turning to? Unproven running backs. That could offer some early growing pains as well as exciting possibilities. There's MarShawn Lloyd, who's simply looking to show he can stay on the field after two injury-filled seasons. There's Kaleb Johnson, a newcomer who just joined the team this week after his trade from Pittsburgh. And then there's Chris Brooks, who has been in Green Bay for a few years but has been more of a special-teams player. Who are these players? Here's more on the Packers' running back depth chart: ## MarShawn Lloyd Can MarShawn Lloyd stay on the field? That's one of the top questions surrounding the Packers offense heading into the season. And they're counting on Lloyd now more than ever. Injuries have been the story for Lloyd through his first two seasons after the Packers selected the Southern California running back in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Lloyd has played in only one NFL game. That came nearly two years ago in Week 2 of his rookie season. He had six carries for 15 yards and one reception for three yards. But Lloyd suffered a severe ankle injury in that game and was placed on injured reserve. He never returned that season after later being diagnosed with appendicitis. Looking for a do-over in 2025, it was even worse. A groin injury early in training camp set him back and then, when he returned for the team's second preseason game, he pulled his hamstring on a long catch-and-run. He never played again. Lloyd got through training camp and preseason in 2026 unscathed and now 25 years old, the 5-foot-9, 220-pound back sits atop the Packers' running back depth chart. ## Kaleb Johnson The newest face to the Packers' running back room is Kaleb Johnson. Johnson was acquired by the Packers on Sunday, Aug. 30, from the Pittsburgh Steelers in exchange for a sixth-round pick. His arrival in Green Bay gives Johnson a fresh start in a new environment after he was buried on the Pittsburgh Steelers' depth chart last season as a rookie and was set to be again this season. The Steelers selected Johnson in the third round after his banner junior season at Iowa. Johnson was named the Big Ten running back of the year and earned second-team All-American honors after a 1,537-yard, 21-touchdown season. But his opportunities were limited with the Steelers. Johnson played in only 10 games, had 69 yards on 28 carries for 2.5 yards per carry and zero touchdowns while playing behind Jaylen Warren (211 carries, 958 yards) and Kenneth Gainwell (114 carries, 537 yards). Warren is again the Steelers' top back and they added free agent Rico Dowdle as a replacement for Gainwell, who left in free agency. While it could take some time for Johnson to get up to speed with the Packers' playbook, he should be given more opportunities to showcase his abilities. “I'm glad to be here,” Johnson said this week. ## Chris Brooks Brooks has made the Packers' 53-man roster for a second straight season. The 26-year-old is in his third season in Green Bay after he first joined the team's practice squad in September 2024. He has played in 32 games over the last two years and has 63 carries, 289 yards and one touchdown. Brooks was active for all 17 games last season for the Packers and posted 106 yards on 27 carries as a third option. His yards per carry average of 3.6 were down from his 5.1 yards per carry in his first season with the Packers. Besides his backup role on offense, Brooks is a reliable special-teams contributor. Last season, he had a career-high 14 tackles on special teams, the most for a Packers running back/fullback in 22 years. Brooks began his career with the Miami Dolphins, making the team's 53-man roster as an undrafted free agent. He played nine games during his rookie season. ## Packers running back depth chart - MarShawn Lloyd, 25 years old - Kaleb Johnson, 23 years old - Chris Brooks, 26 years old ## Packers practice squad running backs - Pierre Strong Jr., 27 years old ## Josh Jacobs on the NFL commissioner's exempt list Jacobs' long-term future with the Packers is unclear. His immediate future is more clear: He won't be practicing or playing while he's on the NFL commissioner's exempt list. Jacobs was placed on the exempt list Aug. 30, two days after he was charged with two misdemeanor charges following his May arrest that stemmed from a disturbance complaint at his house. Jacobs was eventually charged with one count of battery and another of criminal damage to property. The criminal complaint says there's video of Jacobs throwing a woman to the ground and that he destroyed the woman’s phone. Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst and coach Matt LaFleur discussed Jacobs' situation this week. Gutekunst was less forthcoming about Jacobs' future with the Packers. Asked about whether Jacobs could be released, Gutekunst said: “I think we’ll let the process play out before we make any kind of those decisions, but we’ll see.” LaFleur said in a separate press conference that he "trus

Panthers Give Chuba Hubbard Injury Update, Confirm RB Plan With Jonathon Brooks # Panthers Give Chuba Hubbard Injury Update, Confirm RB Plan With Jonathon Brooks Carolina Panthers head coach Dave Canales confirmed how the team plans to deploy its backs to start the season. Mandatory Credit: Jim Dedmon-Imagn Images | IMAGN IMAGES via Reuters Connect In this story: Carolina Panthers With just a few weeks to go before the start of the season, the Carolina Panthers have a few questions in their backfield. One of them has to do with the status of Chuba Hubbard, who has been sidelined during training camp with a hamstring injury. The other pertains to how Carolina plans on deploying Hubbard and his backfield mate, Jonathon Brooks. On Monday, Panthers head coach Dave Canales provided some clarity on both of those subjects. ## Chuba Hubbard injury update Carolina Panthers running back Chuba Hubbard (30) signs autographs during Fanfest at Bank of America Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Jim Dedmon-Imagn Images | IMAGN IMAGES via Reuters Connect Canales told reporters on Monday that Hubbard is expected to be ready to go for the start of the season. "Absolutely," Canales said when asked if Hubbard would be ready to roll for the season-opener. "He's ahead of schedule. He's doing a great job." Hubbard also spoke to reporters and revealed he is feeling good and would have returned to practice immediately but the coaches and training staff are just being cautious with his injury. "Yeah, to be honest, I feel pretty good," Hubbard revealed. "I think the coaches are just — and obviously the training staff — are just trying to take care of me. Obviously, last year I kind of came back a little early and it kind of lingered on for a little bit, so I think it's just them kind of protecting me from myself a little bit. I would have been out the next day if I could've, but I feel good, I feel healthy. Looking forward to Week 1." ## Panthers' running back plan Carolina Panthers running back Jonathon Brooks (25) catches the ball during Fanfest at Bank of America Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Jim Dedmon-Imagn Images | IMAGN IMAGES via Reuters Connect All offseason long, the expectation has been that Carolina will have Brooks and Hubbard in a timeshare, at least to start the season. Canales confirmed that will indeed be the case, with one back starting a series and the other coming in on third downs. "We'll definitely roll it out just the way we have been, where you have a lead back for the series, the other guy comes in on third down so they can be in there for the protection, and also we run the ball on third down," Canales explained. "So those are good opportunities to just keep a guy into the game while the other person, whether it's Chuba or JB, we'll make that decision when we get closer. But whoever the lead guy for the base downs is, they'll get the bulk of that rhythm so that they can kind of feel what's happening with the fronts and how the defense is trying to play as well," Canales added. One thing to keep an eye on with Brooks is his pass protection. He had some rough reps during his two preseason games and he may be limited on third downs if he can't be more consistent, which would lead to more work for Hubbard. Hubbard hasn't been great in pass pro during his career, but he is certainly better and more proven than Brooks as we sit here today. While we're set for a 50-50 split to start the season, we've already seen Canales lean more toward one back if someone is playing better, as we saw with Hubbard and Rico Dowdle last season. So, don't be surprised if one or the other seizes more control of the backfield as the season progresses. Published 25 seconds ago

Projected Week 1 Packers Depth Chart (With Analysis) After Roster Cuts # Projected Week 1 Packers Depth Chart (With Analysis) After Roster Cuts The Green Bay Packers won’t release their unofficial depth chart until next week. Here’s how we see it with Week 1 against the Vikings just 10 days away. Bill Huber| Green Bay Packers wide receiver J. Michael Sturdivant (87) scores a touchdown against the Arizona Cardinals. | USA TODAY Network via Reuters Connect In this story: Green Bay Packers GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Green Bay Packers will kick off the 2026 regular season at the Minnesota Vikings in 10 days. With training camp complete, roster cuts done and the practice squad (almost) built, here’s how we project the depth chart. ## Quarterbacks Starter: Jordan Love. Backup: Tyrod Taylor. Practice squad: Kedon Slovis. Analysis: There’s never been a doubt that Love would be the starter at Minnesota and Taylor would be the backup, even if reasonable minds could disagree on the fate of Kyle McCord. With general manager Brian Gutekunst opting to trade McCord to Miami, the Packers signed Slovis to the practice squad. He went from being coached by Mike LaFleur to Matt LaFleur, and he’ll still have to go against Jonathan Gannon’s defense at practice. ## Running Backs Starter: MarShawn Lloyd, Backups: Chris Brooks, Kaleb Johnson. Practice squad: Pierre Strong. Exempt list: Josh Jacobs. > MarShawn Lloyd gets the ball at practice pic.twitter.com/XL8QQzJGlp > > — Bill Huber (@BillHuberNFL) September 2, 2026 Analysis: Without Jacobs, it’s Lloyd’s time to shine in the backfield. While the popular questions about him surround his ability to stay healthy, he’s answered every challenge during training camp and the preseason from that perspective. Perhaps the more relevant question is what he’s capable of doing in 15 to 20 touches per game. What can Brooks contribute as a runner? Can Johnson, who was acquired from the Steelers, live up to the hype following his All-American 2024 season at Iowa? ## Receivers Starters: Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, Matthew Golden. Backups: Bo Melton, Skyy Moore, J. Michael Sturdivant. Injured reserve: Savion Williams. Practice squad: Isaiah Neyor, Chris Hilton. Analysis: With Williams dealing with a high-ankle sprain, the Packers kept Sturdivant as their sixth receiver. “You guys have been out there every day,” Gutekunst said. “He’s one of those guys that made plays every day. It was going to be tough if we had to keep seven. Savion ended up getting hurt, and that certainly allowed for some of that. If we’d had to keep seven, we would have done it, but it would have been hard. “He’s one of those guys who probably should have been drafted. If you look at his measurables and the kind of athlete he is and the production he had in college, he probably should have been. We kind of felt that way coming out of the draft, kind of felt like we got another draft pick there. And ever since he’s been here, he really has done a nice job. I think he’s got a tremendous future if he keeps working at it.” Once Williams (and the injured edge players) are healthy, a tough decision might have to be made. ## Tight Ends Starter: Tucker Kraft. Backups: Josh Whyle, Jonnu Smith, Mark Redman. PUP: Luke Musgrave. Practice squad: Drake Dabney. Analysis: This group got a rapid makeover. With Musgrave out with a neck injury and nobody else taking the bull by the horns, Gutekunst signed productive veteran Smith and sent a seventh-round pick to the Rams for Redman. Just like that, the Packers have another passing-game weapon (Smith) and finally have their rugged blocker (Redman). ## Offensive Line Starters: LT Jordan Morgan, LG Aaron Banks, C Sean Rhyan, RG Jacob Monk, RT Zach Bako-Bewele. Backups: LT John Williams, LG Donovan Jennings, C Jager Burton, RG Travis Glover, RT Anthony Belton. Practice squad: T Dalton Cooper, G Dillon Wade, G Josh Gesky. Analysis: The backups might not be as simple as what’s laid out above. It’s possible Belton would be the next man up at both tackle positions and Burton would be the next man up at all three interior positions. At right guard, Burton and Jennings could be options. There are practically infinite possibilities with Williams (left tackle, left guard and center during camp), Jennings (all three interior positions), Burton (all three interior positions), Glover (right side) and Belton (both tackle positions and right guard). So, from that perspective, it’s the perfect offensive line. ## Edge Defenders Starters: Lukas Van Ness, Barryn Sorrell. Backups: Brenton Cox, Dani Dennis Sutton. Injured reserve: Collin Oliver. PUP: Micah Parsons. Practice squad: Arron Mosby, Nyjalik Kelly. Analysis: The Packers went with only four edge rushers on the initial 53 and haven’t added any. For the start of the season, they’ll get by with Mosby and Kelly as elevations, if necessary. Mosby has been a key player on special teams the last few seasons and Kelly probably was one of the last cuts. ## Defensive Tackles Starters: Devonte Wyatt, Jonathan Ford, Karl Brooks. Backups: Warren Brinson, Chris McClellan, Javon Hargrave, Anthony Campbell. Practice squad: Jaden Crumedy. Analysis: The hallmark of Gannon’s defense is his desire to rotate his defensive tackles in rapid-fire fashion. The depth here will allow him to do that. In the base 3-4, Wyatt is the one no-doubt-about-it starter. Ford, as the big, powerful nose tackle, probably will be a starter, too. Brooks ran ahead of Hargrave throughout training camp, though that might have been a case of limiting the 33-year-old’s reps so he’ll be rested and ready for a bigger role for the season. ## Linebackers Starters: Edgerrin Cooper, Zaire Franklin. Backups: Isaiah McDuffie, Ty’Ron Hopper, Nick Niemann. Practice squad: Kristian Welch. Analysis: This is a tremendous unit. That’s the analysis. ## Cornerbacks Starters: Keisean Nixon, Brandon Cisse. Backups: Carrington Valentine, Benjamin
